Houston Periodontics is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to work at our fast paced, inviting, and customer centric practice. We are looking for a multi-tasking team player to manage the front desk and administrative tasks, and to guide patient care from the administrative side. In this position you will have the opportunity to learn and grow right alongside the rest of our team.
This a full-time position regularly schedule to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. In this position you will be eligible for many great benefits such as 401(k) matching and paid time off.
The starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
· Check-in patients following office protocol including verifying and updating patient information (personal, health, and insurance)
· Payment collection and processing
· Submit insurance claims and pre-treatment on a timely basis
· Create and update patient records including treatment plans
· Answer and manage incoming phone calls and texts
· Schedule and manage patient appointments
· Facilitate patient check-out
· Oversee office correspondence including email and mail
Qualifications:
- Reception or administrative experienced: 1 year (Required)
- Dental receptionist experience: 1 year (Required)
- Periodontal experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Proficient in dental software and office management systems
- Experience submitting dental insurance claims (Preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
