Job Title : Quality Inspector – Aerospace Fasteners
Job Description :
Inspects manufactured aerospace fasteners to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Performs visual and dimensional inspections using various measuring tools and techniques. Documents inspection results and identifies non-conforming materials.
Key Responsibilities :
Inspects incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished fasteners for defects, dimensional inaccuracies, and conformance to specifications.
Uses precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Maintains accurate inspection records and documentation, including non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Identifies and reports non-conforming materials and processes.
Works closely with production personnel to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree preferred.
Experience in quality control inspection, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Familiarity with aerospace fastener specifications and standards.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills :
Understanding of aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100).
Familiarity with fastener design and specifications.
Knowledge of material testing methods.
Experience with CMM or other advanced inspection equipment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
