What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Wildlife Receptionist position at Houston SPCA?
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Follow detailed protocols for animal admittance.
- Make detailed notes on animal care charts and in database and report as appropriate.
- Solicit and accept donations from the public.
- Represent the Houston SPCA’s Wildlife Center of Texas by providing excellent customer service and focus.
- Ensure wildlife lobby and front desk are neat and clean at all times.
- Assist with triage procedures when available and appropriate.
- Respond to online inquires on Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps, and info email in a timely manner.
- Enter in all wildlife final dispositions under direction of the Wildlife Center Director.
- Compile end of day Customer Service Reports for the review of the Wildlife Center Director or Wildlife Care Coordinator.
- Assist the Wildlife Center director in compiling permit reports as instructed.
- Monitor current inventory of necessary supplies and notify supervisors of immediate needs.
- Protect all confidential information, including customers, donors, animals and internal communications.
- Work within the laws and protocols established by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well kempt appearance at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
