What You'll Do
We are a new and growing team at Epic, aiming to build innovative new experiences and technology as part of our collaboration with Disney. Epic Games is seeking an Animation Engineering Lead. In this role, you will work closely with our Unreal Engine, Metahuman, and Research teams to design, extend, and apply the next generation of animation systems and tools in support of our first-party development efforts. If you have extensive experience in building runtime animation systems and tools, are passionate about raising the bar and want to be at the cutting edge of innovation, we would like to hear from you!
In this role, you will
- Design and implement animation features and tools in the context of shipping first-party games.
- Build and lead a team of experienced engineers and technical animators.
- Work with other technology teams at Epic to advance the state of animation technology across the company, including in the Unreal Engine.
- Work with senior leadership to define the vision of next-generation animation tools.
- Research and explore novel forward-looking techniques, including machine learning.
- Support internal and external customers.
