Houston TMJ Facial Pain and Sleep is a premier specialty practice dedicated to managing TMJ disorders, facial pain, and sleep apnea. Located in the vibrant Galleria Area, our boutique practice is led by Dr. Martinez, a distinguished board-certified orofacial pain and TMJ specialist. Dr. Martinez is one of the country's few board-certified TMJ and Orofacial Pain specialists.
Highlights:
Excellent communication skills required
At least one year of experience in a Medical or Dental Office preferred
Familiarity with insurance and billing preferred; training provided if necessary
Basic computer skills required, including proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Outlook, Excel/Word
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bilingual preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical or dental receptionist preferred
Responsibilities:
Warmly greet and assist patients with check-in/check-out procedures
Efficiently schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
Coordinate patient referrals to and from the office
Handle phone calls and inquiries professionally and empathetically
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Manage new patient leads and assist with administrative tasks
Collaborate with the clinical team to optimize patient flow and satisfaction
Create payment plans with patients as needed
Patient triaging, taking vital signs, preparing, setting up, and cleaning rooms, organizing dental/medical tools, operating autoclave, and other duties as assigned.
Complete patient demographic information and others in a timely manner.
Be familiar with medical terminology as applicable and ICD/ CPT coding procedures.
Contacting the designated laboratories, radiologists, and pharmacies, updating and maintaining patients' health records as instructed.
Take cone beam CT x-rays, process them, send image files to oral and maxillofacial radiologists digitally, and once received back, upload them into the patient’s chart and have them printed for the patient’s follow-up appointment.
Send digital impression files to the respective dental laboratories. Keep track of the delivery time of the appliances so that they are ready for the appliance delivery appointment.
Set up rooms and sterilize instruments.
Job Type: Full-time, 5 days a week, no weekends
