Job Summary :
The barista at Refuel is knowledgeable in preparing and serving beverages such as coffees, teas, smoothies, and other specialty drinks. The Barista greets customers, answers their questions, takes orders, processes payments, and prepares and serves food and drinks. The Barista at Refuel will also maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace and dining area, refresh displays, and continuously expand the knowledge of food and beverages offered, as well as keeping quality control for preparation methods and presentation. The barista serves members and guests with a positive, friendly, knowledgeable and polite attitude.
Responsibilities :
- Provides a welcoming greeting to members and guests, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and processing orders and payments.
- Prepares foods, such as baked goods, bagging, blending smoothies, brewing coffee and tea, preparing made to order coffees following recipes, and serving items to customers according to order. Makes sure to keep consistency with quality and presentation in the drinks made.
- Cleans and restocks work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Updates signage and displays.
- Takes inventory and replenishing items in display coolers and behind the counter.
- Adheres to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner.
