SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting with the protection of property and assets, including employee through responding to Fire, medical, and other emergencies on campus; in addition to enforcing the polices as directed by management and / or employee handbook.
RESPONSIBLE TO
Loss Prevention Director
LIMITS OF AUTHORITY
May not make statements to the press
May not violate polices and / guidelines responsible for enforcing.
MAIN DUTIES :
Physical patrols of the campus buildings garages and surface lots.
Directing traffic as needed on campus
Responding to Fire, medical and other emergencies on campus
Maintenance of the Guest Room Safes, Golf cart and other Loss Prevention equipment.
Maintenance of First Aid Equipment, including all kits and Automatic External Defibrillators.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to meet the following minimum physical requirements for at least an eight hour shift :
- Physical Stamina : Frequent standing, walking, climbing of ladders and stairs, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting and carrying various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work safely and effectively in outdoor temperatures. Summer temperatures outside can get above 95 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 months of year. For 2 months of year, low temperatures can get below 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Driving Ability : Driving is required. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and maintain a good driving record in compliance with company policy. Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle equipped with a lift gate and / or a standard transmission.
- Hearing / Speech : Must be able to effectively engage in one-on-one communication with guests, members, and customers and use a 2-way radio to communicate clearly and accurately with co-workers.
- Vision : Must be able to accurately read instructions, reports, log sheets. Must be able to work with computers and PDA’s in varying light conditions.
- Literacy : Must be able to produce, read and understand reports, including security, incident and police reports. Must be able to analyze and process written information from a variety of sources and communicate effectively content of reports.
- Chemicals / Agents : Must be able to work safely with chemicals according to MSDS sheets and all applicable laws, codes and regulatory requirements.
