What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Room Service Server position at Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa?
Position Purpose:
Provide a pleasant in-room dining experience for our guests. Must deliver food and beverage to guests, up sell, and presentation of delivery in a consistent manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able set up tables for the order.
- Must be able to deliver food and drink to the guests in room or outside by the pool.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have ability to perform daily work at a high level of accuracy.
- Must be able to take direction well.
- Must have keen attention to detail.
- Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must have professional appearance and behavior.
- Must have interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have proficient technology skills on the POS
- Must be able to multi-task.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma is preferred.
- One-year previous Room service server experience in Hotel Room Service preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- TABC and Food Handlers certifications are required.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pull or push and lift trays in order to serve Food and Beverage on a to the guests.
- Must be able to work on weekends, Holidays, day and nights.
- The hours of work varies upon business.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to see and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids.
