As a Creative Director at Hover, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our brand. You will elevate and champion Hover’s creative expression across all touchpoints, including brand, marketing, digital platforms, and within our product. Working closely with marketing leadership and designers, you’ll lead the charge in building and maintaining brand and marketing systems that reflect our high bar for craft. You’ll advocate for the best ideas, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional, hands-on work that resonates with our users.
Who you are
- Build and Elevate the Hover Brand : Develop and scale Hover’s brand and marketing systems to ensure consistency, impact, and creative excellence across all mediums, including physical activations, video and photography direction, and brand expression within both the product and marketing efforts.
- Lead with Craft and Clarity : Set a high bar for design quality, ensuring hands-on involvement in the creative process while coaching and mentoring designers to refine their craft and generate innovative ideas.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Partner closely with marketing leadership and cross-disciplinary teams to align creative strategies with broader company goals, while advocating for the best ideas and solutions.
- Advocate and Influence : Confidently push back and say no when necessary, ensuring the team focuses on ideas with the greatest impact. Elevate the creative process with clear decision-making and direction.
- Innovate and Inspire : Drive the creation of new campaigns and concepts while fostering a culture of collaboration and creative exploration.
- Deliver Results : Own the end-to-end creative process, from concept development to execution, measuring success, and iterating for improvement.

Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City, where we expect that all employees living within a 50-mile radius of our offices will come into their local Hover office at least three times a week to build rapport and foster organic connection. At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $158,000 - $180,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all applicable US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
