POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direction of the Practice Manager, the Site Supervisor organizes and oversees support staff in the delivery of patient care services.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for coordinating support staff schedules and hours, including vacation approval and facility coverage.
- Oversees daily activities of staff to ensure that daily tasks are completed.
- Assists in the selection, orientation, training, and performance evaluation of support personnel.
- Participates in the orientation of support staff and new physicians.
- Assists with support staff performance appraisals in a timely manner.
- Acts as liaison between Practice Manager, support staff, medical staff, and patients.
- Responsible for identification and resolution of problems with patient billing matters.
- Participates in the development and implementation of operational and clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and other legal and regulatory agencies to ensure standards of performance for quality care.
- Resolves operational issues and ensures that policies and procedures are carried out appropriately.
- Providing direct supervision of Medical Assistant staff.
- When Practice Manager is providing support as PSR or, off-site, being the contact for staff, patient, & provider issues, and monitor clinic flow.
- Responsible for monitoring and overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the health center and equipment in a manner consistent with the highest standard of safety, sanitation, efficiency, and appearance.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and works effectively with co-workers.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Performs related work and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL REQUIRED:
Required:
- High school degree or GED
- Certification as CMA or RMA
- 2-3 years of experience in patient services/electronic medical record setting.
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurances.
- Ability to travel.
- Must possess strong communication and demonstrate an ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual – Spanish/English
