Acute Residential Counselor Adult - Allen House
Provide a safe environment for persons with mental health challenges and co-occurring disorders living in an independent permanent housing environment. Gain experience in a program that utilizes a harm-reduction approach!
Allen House is a single-room occupancy (SRO) building with 25 rooms and extensive staff services. The Allen House provides supportive independent living for adults with mental health/co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive counseling, medication management, and crisis intervention, as needed
- Help residents strengthen coping and symptom management skills
Requirements:
- Two years of experience working with individuals experiencing major mental challenges or a combination of experience, skills, and education
- Must be comfortable working independently
- Valid driver's license, and use of a personal vehicle preferred
Structure:

Full-time (Monday through Friday, 8am-3:30pm)
- AFSCME Union (dues will apply)
- Non-exempt
- Starting at $22.30 an hour
