Housing Coordinator - Community Support Program
Assist clients participating in our Community Support Program (CSP) in looking for and securing safe and affordable housing. Serve Chittenden County adults 18 and older with severe and/or persistent mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and track housing support funds responsibly and equitably
- Build and maintain relationships with area landlords
- Track market housing listings and applications sent to landlords/housing authorities
- Contact or assist clients in contacting landlords/property managers to apply for housing
- Take clients to apartment/housing viewings
- Maintain HMIS database for homeless clients
- Counsel and provide education to clients on the process of applying for housing
- Assist clients with securing items such as valid ID, income verification, etc.
- Participate in Community Housing Review Committee to access resources such as subsidies or units
- Assist with acquiring furnishings for housing and arranging movers
Requirements:
- A combination of one year of experience in Human Services or in housing related work and education will be considered
- A valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle
Structure:
- Full time (37.5 hours)
- Non-Exempt
- AFSCME Union (Dues will apply)
- Starting at $23.22
