Join a team of providers making a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Your role in providing instructional and behavioral treatment for children with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities is invaluable. You will receive extensive training and supervision to help you expand your career in education and mental health.
The INCLUSION Program team works in our local school districts, providing vital support for children ages 5-14 (K-8). Students engage in academic, social, emotional, and behavioral programming to develop skills/strategies that will enable them to succeed in their local community school.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and/or group support to assigned children following individual treatment goals
- Teach social and adaptive behavior/emotional skills and living skills to students
- Establish positive, therapeutic relationships with children, and provide supportive counseling to children when needed
- Collaborate with a wide range of educational and other Human Service professionals
- Utilize intervention protocols to maintain a safe environment for clients
- Document treatment data as required
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related experience
- Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle
Structure:
- Full-time
- 217 day annual calendar including:
- School year (175 days) with school breaks paid time off
- 4 week summer program
- 2 weeks in-service for ongoing professional development
- AFSCME Union
- Starting range $22.30-23.22/hour
