What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Transportation Aide position at Howard County Children's Center?
The Medical Transport Aide is directly responsible to Case Management Coordinator. The Medical Transport Aide will transport clients to doctor, dentist, and lab appointments providing safe, courteous and timely transportation to and from appointments. He (she) will accompany the client into the office and into examining room when possible. In addition, the transport aide will assist in other trips for the facility as deemed necessary by the supervisor or director. Appropriate paper work will be filled out after each appointment and given to appropriate personnel after each appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· The transport aide must communicate relevant information, concerns and any behavioral issues to the doctor.
· See that Physicians Order and Client Medical Chart is given to doctor upon arrival for appointment.
· After appointment, fill out Doctor Appointment Data Sheet and give to appropriate personnel along with prescriptions and future appointment data.
· Must maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients at all times.
Flexible hours are required
