The position works across the Department of Community Resources & Services to collaborate, align, and maximize impact of grant awards and budgeting.

- Work collaboratively with leadership to coordinate funding strategies of the Office of Community Partnerships that promote and support the required mission and goals of each fund, including the Opioid Restitution Fund and the Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund; and coordinates alignment of grant opportunities with identified county-wide goals.
- Plan, oversee and evaluate the grants management processes for administering funds; assess the eligibility and organizational capacity of prospective grantees; analyze proposed budgets; and provide recommendations for grant awards.
- Build relationships, facilitate communication and collaborate with funded organizations to bridge gaps and avoid duplication in funded activities.
- Coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of data to evaluate agency outcomes, interpret trends, and identify gaps in service to support planning efforts.
- Serve as a link between Office of Community Partnerships, finance, information technology, and other administrative functions so that all grantmaking activities are smoothly implemented.
- Prepare regular funding reports and briefings for senior leadership.
- Coordinate community meetings and forums to hear from and educate the public on issues related to each fund. Research best practices in mental health and substance use disorder funding.
- Serve as member of the Office of Community Partnerships leadership team.
- Provide staff support to the Opioid Restitution Fund Commission.
- Provide staff support to the Adult-Use Cannabis Advisory Panel.
- Represent the Office of Community Partnerships and the Department of Community Resources and Services at various community meetings, committees, and programs.
- Participate in activities related to Emergency Management as requested, including working outside normal business hours.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Services, and Behavioral Health or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following areas: substance use disorders, mental health, and/or behavioral health conditions.
- Experience with Grants Management Software.
- Proficiency in virtual platforms and use of technology for human services delivery.
LANGUAGE SKILLS, MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, AND REASONING ABILITY:
- Experience with increasingly responsible administrative work including experience in grants management.
- Supervisory and/or management experience.
- Knowledge of requirements, trends, best practices and performance outcomes in the field of grants administration.
- Demonstrated ability to work and cooperate with co-workers and supervisors at all levels.
- Ability to communicate complex technical, budgetary and grants administration details.
- Project management experience evidenced by strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff within the Department, other departments of County Government, community partners and vendors.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with an ethnically diverse population.
- Strong computer proficiency especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database management and spreadsheet applications necessary.
