Billing/Patient Accounts Specialist II
Howard County Medical Center invites applications for the position of Billing/Patient Accounts Specialist II at its location in St. Paul, Nebraska.
Job Duties:
- Download claims from EMR into clearinghouse.
- Prepare any claims that are incomplete in the clearinghouse for submission/resubmission.
- Research, correct & reprocess payment denials as required.
- Be the key account contact for questions and issues
- Working with physicians and staff to obtain information required for initial claim submission and follow-up on edits, denials, and rejections.
- Follow-up on outstanding claims.
- Cross-Train within the department to ensure success and promote collaboration and teamwork.

- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships.

- Ability to work with many types of people and have good customer service skills.
- Ability to answer the phone and transfer phone calls to the appropriate people.

Education/Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior office experience preferred
