Dietary Manager
Howard County Medical Center invites applications for the position of a Full-Time Dietary Manager at its location in St. Paul, Nebraska. The responsibilities of this position are to direct and instruct dietary employees in preparation and service of meals and in maintaining proper sanitation standards. To ensure that the provision of high-quality nutritional care to patients is maintained.
Essential Job Functions

- Order food and non-perishable items.
- Check all dietary invoices.
- Maintain dietary records.
- Assume responsibility for sanitation of kitchen, dining room, storeroom, kitchenettes, coffee centers, and freezers.
- Visit patients and complete a diet history for all patients on special diets.
- Share diet information with patients on special diets, as per doctor's orders.
- Chart pertinent information on medical records.
- Standardize all recipes.
- Support the compliance program, participate in ongoing monitoring of activities with respect to compliance related issues and is responsible for retention of records for the program.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments and staff.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Basic math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, policies, and manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and clients.
- Strong ability to lead and manage others effectively.
