Part-Time Weekend Patient Services Position :
Howard County Medical Center invites applications for the position of Weekend Cook in the Patient Services Division at the St. Paul, Nebraska location. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking all meals for patients from a posted menu, patient marked menus and patient diets as ordered by healthcare providers in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Howard County Medical Center.
This position is a part-time position with two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 6 : 00 am and finishing at 6 : 30 pm. This position is also required to work one (1) holiday a year.
Education / Qualifications / Skills / Abilities :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to generate, read, interpret and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance and organizational policy / procedures.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships.
- Ability to work with skill in identifying problems.
- Prior cooking experience in a commercial setting preferred.
- All other job duties as assigned.
