What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Associate Attorney position at Howard Law Group, PLLC?
Howard Law Group, PLLC represents a wide variety of businesses and industries in complex dispute resolutions. We pride ourselves on a creative, goal-oriented, and ethical approach to solving client problems based on our experiences in large law firms and litigation boutiques. We do so in a working environment that is collaborative and balances efficient solutions for clients with the well-being of our team, while maintaining our professional integrity and the respect of courts and opposing counsel.
We are seeking a junior associate interested in developing their skills as a civil litigator with a dedication to upholding personal integrity and the professional standards of Texas lawyers. Opportunities abound, and we strive to facilitate our team's professional growth and development. If a successful applicant aspires to be a "stand-up" trial attorney, write appellate briefs, or draft and revise contracts and deals, that lawyer is limited only by their willingness to try.
Applications will not be evaluated on a rote consideration of law school rank, grade point average, or current firm prestige, but a variety of factors that indicate the applicant would be a good fit for our team and culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Driven to advance skills and opportunities in legal practice
- High personal standards for work quality and ethics
- Confidence to express opinions in team and client meetings
- Willingness to learn
- Professional writing and research experience
- Work experience before licensing as a lawyer
NOTE: Prior to any interview, a writing sample is requested.
