What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Assembly and Packaging position at Howard Miller?
HIGHER RATE OF PAY POSSIBLE WITH GREATER LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE
Primary responsibility will be to assemble and pack large clocks, curios, wardrobes, bars, other cabinets and case goods, install glass and mirror, install hardware, etc. Must be able to perform all operations on the production line and move to different assembly stations based on need.
Candidates must be able to read routings and follow job instructions.
Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Must be highly dependable and have excellent attendance.
2. Physical ability for constant standing and use of hands and arms to lift, install, and manipulate components. Ability to use small hand and power tools.
3. Must be able to safely climb a ladder while carrying up to 25#
4. Must be able to regularly lift up to 50# and occasionally up to 75#
5. Must be able to regularly move product in excess of 75# using a hand cart of other equipment.
6. Must be able to reach up to 7 feet overhead. Must be able to freely bend and reach side to side.
7. Ability to use hand and power tools is necessary.
8 Effective verbal and written communication skills.
9. The ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge and Experience Required:
1. Completion of High School or equivalent
2. A level of technical knowledge and/or skills is helpful.
