Job Summary
Provide high-level support to the President and Board of Trustees. May also train and supervise student assistants. The President may assign additional duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. The president may assign other duties as necessary.
- Manages the daily operations of the President's office
- Manages the President's calendar and independently schedules appointments
- Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible
- Schedules meetings, arranges programs, events, and conferences and manages all related details
- Prepares for the Board of Trustees meetings
- Arranges complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries, compiles documents for travel-related meetings
- Handles information requests, prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and complex documents
- Continually monitors and assess office policies and procedures, making adjustments and recommendations for efficient practices
- Conducts research as requested
- Assists with University Advancement, Enrollment and Retention initiatives and special projects when necessary
- Represents the University at luncheons, dinners and various events when necessary
- Assists the President with any and all tasks as he sees fit
- Provide leadership in the implementation of the Strategic Plan

Qualifications

- Education and Experience – Bachelor’s degree preferred; or two to five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, employees of the University and the public
- Math Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
