What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Mill Programmer/Setup position at Howard's Precision Machine?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for machining operations using Fusion 360 and other software
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize part designs for manufacturability
- Inspect finished parts using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 or other CAD/CAM software
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and programming language
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
