What are the responsibilities and job description for the Defense Paralegal position at Howard-Sloan Search?
Defense law firm in New York City is hiring a Defense Paralegal.
This role will be in person to start then will be on a hybrid schedule.
Hours: 9am-5:30pm, 8:30am-5pm
The Paralegal will draft and revise documents, file and service documents, communicate with local counsel, managed deadline, prepare court hearings, maintain records for billable hours, work with vendors etc.
Candidate must have the following:
- Experience as a paralegal in a defense firm – at least 3 years.
- Associates or Bachelors degree required
- Experience in tort-labor law, trip and fall, negligence type cases.
- Experience in navigating the Unified Court System, e-filing assessing the judge’s rules
- Experience in navigating the Federal Court system is a plus.
Salary : $68,000 - $78,000
