Plans, implements and assesses student learning experiences. Plans and executes the specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. Facilitates parental involvement. This position is a long-term substitute teaching position in special education located at Howard Elementary School. Start date is approximately March 31, 2025 through the remainder of the 24-25 school year. Pay is $190.00 / day; pay is reduced for assignments less than a full day. This is not a benefit eligible position based on ACA requirements.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Licensure and certification by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in Special Education, Cross-categorical or Cognitive / Intellectual Disabilities (1801 or 1810). Successful completion of student teaching experience. Knowledge of current educational methodology and practices.
Experience in or knowledge of :
Viable candidates will be an active member of the school community, be able to create a positive and supportive classroom community, be organized and efficient, and to facilitate the district and school's mission. Experience with working with students with more significant needs is preferred.
