Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Solutions Engineer to support our pre-sales and post-sale initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in IP security cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection, environmental sensing, visitor management, and mass notification installations, as well as their maintenance and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be adept at communicating with varying levels of technical expertise, ensuring clients understand the solutions we offer.
The successful candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment and possess strong interpersonal skills. This role involves remote customer support, client consultations, and onsite installations as necessary. You will be the vital link between our customers and sales team, managing both new and ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Consultation : Assess clients' security needs and recommend optimal solutions, effectively communicating complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Pre-Sales Support : Collaborate with the sales team to design customized physical security solutions, creating detailed technical proposals, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Solution Delivery : Oversee systems across multiple sites, leading the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical physical security systems.
- Vendor and Project Management : Research and select security hardware and software solutions, communicate design concepts to stakeholders, oversee vendor performance, and conduct regular testing to ensure system compliance.
- Operations and Maintenance : Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving system issues, implement a maintenance program for optimal uptime, and document all configurations and processes accurately.
- Continuous Learning : Stay current with industry trends and participate in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Proven ability to design, construct, and maintain comprehensive physical security systems.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex system configuration challenges.
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing complex physical security programs preferred.
- Familiarity with security system architectures and relevant certifications is advantageous.
- Proficient with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and capable of working remotely while traveling for customer engagements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Technical acumen with a proactive troubleshooting approach.
