The Dual Enrollment Academic Success Coach (ASC) serves as a program pathway liaison to students and their families to provide academic guidance regarding the college’s dual enrollment programs. In the spirit of meeting students where they dream, the ASC assists the office of dual enrollment with the development and implementation of outreach strategies targeting high school student populations with detailed information about dual enrollment pathway opportunities at the college. This position supports student success by providing essential academic pathway guidance and directing students to academic and social support toward completion.This position requires an outstanding interpersonal communicator with an excellent understanding of the operational units at Howard Community College (HCC), and an enthusiasm to help resolve complex problems and deliver process improvements while working as part of a team. The ASC must interface with students and their families in small groups and facilitate presentations for larger groups that encourage interest, enrollment, and retention in dual enrollment courses and programs. The ASC supports the office of dual enrollment by developing and delivering information sessions, conducting student outreach, working collaboratively with HCC faculty and staff, external partners for day-to-day processes involved in supporting student success in dual enrollment programs.
