What are the responsibilities and job description for the English Institute International Enrollment Manager position at howardcc?
Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) qualified to issue immigration documents to prospective and current international (F1) students and to utilize the federal Student and Exchange Visitor System (SEVIS). Coordinates all aspects of the international student inquiry and application process and maintains records. Serves as the EI’s primary liaison with the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) and works closely with the Associate Director of International and Immigrant Services to ensure college compliance with all federal, DHS, U.S. State Department, and Maryland State laws, regulations, reporting and tracking requirements. Manage all tasks within Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and issue all appropriate federal documents. Provide academic advising EI students from inquiry to placement and registration to completion. This position requires highly specific knowledge regarding the enrollment of international citizens and tremendous breadth of knowledge regarding enrollment information and the college in general. The functions of this position have significant consequences for the college and for international students due to its responsibilities in relation to federal immigration, US State Department and SEVIS laws regulations and strict deadlines.
