What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dance Coach position at Howards Grove School District?
The School District of Howards Grove is looking to hire a High School Dance Coach for the 2025-2026 school year.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to motivate and communicate in a manner appropriate to school-age student athletes, keeping the best interest of Howards Grove athletes in mind when making decisions. They will have a belief that sportsmanship and teamwork is critical to the success of the program, and will also have the ability to cooperate, work and communicate with students, parents, colleagues, administration and the community.
Experience as a pom/dance participant or as a dance instructor is desired.
Schedules and practices will be discussed at the time of interview. There may be day and weekend time commitments associated with this position.
Strong leadership and organizational skills are required along with the ability to plan, communicate, and work with building administration and athletic staff to organize schedules, transportation, and program budgets.
The successful candidate will coach students to perform dance routines at basketball games and other school-related events, as well as prepare the team for competition at the regional and state level.

Pay: $15.82 - $17.35 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

Experience:
- Dance: 1 year (Preferred)
- Cheerleading: 1 year (Preferred)
