Job Summary
The Lot Porter is responsible for maintaining the RV lot by ensuring that RVs are clean, properly arranged, and readily available for customers and staff. This position involves assisting with the transport, staging, and presentation of RVs on the lot and in the service area, ensuring a clean and orderly environment, and supporting the sales and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Move and park RVs: Safely transport RVs around the dealership lot, between service bays, and for customer delivery.
- Maintain the appearance of the lot: Ensure all RVs are clean, properly aligned, and displayed in a way that enhances the overall dealership presentation.
- Detailing RVs: Wash and detail the exterior of RVs as required, including washing, waxing, and cleaning windows.
- Lot organization: Assist in arranging RVs to optimize space and create a visually appealing display.
- Support sales and service staff: Assist with staging RVs for customer demos, transporting vehicles to service areas, and preparing RVs for delivery.
- Lot maintenance: Keep the dealership lot clean and free from debris, manage trash, and perform basic landscaping duties as needed.
- Inspection: Perform regular inspections of RVs for cleanliness, functionality, and appearance, reporting any issues to the service or sales team.
- Customer support: Assist with guiding customers to specific RVs, answering basic questions, and providing excellent customer service when necessary.
- Other duties: Perform additional tasks as requested by management, such as helping with deliveries or moving RVs off-site.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate large RVs and trailers.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of RV systems and equipment is a plus.
Work Schedule
Full-time, includes weekends and some holidays. Must be flexible with hours to accommodate the needs of the dealership.
