Description
Analyze, quantify, and prepare accurate estimates on electrical construction projects through identifying labor, material, and equipment required to deliver the project specifications. Works closely with vendors, general contractor’s, and architects.
Education and Experience
Degree in Business Administration or Construction Management preferred or experience in the construction industry.
Knowledge
The candidate shall have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Construction industry
- Electrical estimating
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information into estimate.

Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating bids and submitting estimates on time. These activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Review and understand bid requirements and documents (plans, specifications, addendums, RFI’s, etc.) thoroughly
- Identify and understand scope of work, including the scope for subcontractors
- Develop RFIs as required for clarification on project requirements.
- Attend pre-bid job site meetings as required.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure proper coverage is provided for bid day.
- Take-off project: itemize material, labor, equipment required.
- Review vendor and subcontractor proposals on bid day for compliance with bid documents.
- Prepare Bid Scope and Pricing.
- Submit all bids and/or budgets by the deadline.
