Job Summary
The job of the ammo inspector is to be sure that the ammunition that passes through is quality, meeting specifications with visual appeal. They are responsible for inspecting all components while following all safety procedures set in place by the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Collect data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspections, and testing procedures.
- Inspect, test, or measure materials, and products for conformance to specifications.
- Discard or reject products not meeting specifications.
- Write test and/or inspection reports describing results and recommendations.
- Meet production quota and quality standards.
- Maintain a teamwork environment
Responsibilities:
- Clean, maintain, repair, and calibrate measuring instruments and test equipment such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, and height gauges.
- Work as a team member with production, procurement, packaging, and shipping
- Inspect test, or measure materials, and products for conformance to specifications.
- Remove defects, such as chips, burrs, or lap corroded or pitted surfaces. Discard or reject products not meeting specifications.

Qualifications:
- Experience –None, will train on the job
- Education – High School diploma or equivalent.
- Complexity of duties – Have good attention to detail for quality inspection.
- Supervision received – Reports to Production Coordinator and/or Supervisor
- Working conditions – inside, sometimes outside, noise, heat, cold
- Mental and physical demands–
- Must have excellent attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and vision.
- Ability to focus and concentrate for long periods.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The job requires some squatting, kneeling, bending, and sitting for long periods of time.
- Sitting, standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, speaking, listening, motor coordination skills, coordination of eyes, hands, and feet.
