Job Description:
We are looking to hire a full time switcher to support our operations in Stuarts Draft, VA.
You must be comfortable operating a terminal tractor (yard truck) in order to move loaded and empty trailers around the facility and to stage trailers in loading dock doors. Our ideal candidate follows all safety protocols and can work efficiently to ensure there is no traffic back up in the yard.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maneuver trailers within the facility and in/out of the loading dock doors
Perform lot checks to ascertain availability of trailers and inbound loads
Communicate with shipping office and drivers delivering into and picking up from the facility
Perform simple preventative maintenance on trailers.
Job Type: Full-time
Available Shifts: Third 11pm - 7am
Salary: From $22.00 per hour
