Howell's kitchen & bar is Looking for a Dishwasher to Join our Team!
We’re an eclectic American tavern serving up modern takes on the classics you know and love in the Underhills Neighborhood of Atlanta. Craftsmanship and service are at the heart of our bar and scratch kitchen - come in for food, drinks, bocce ball, and a spacious patio!
Hours available : Wed-Sun 4 pm-10 pm (Mondays and Tuesdays as needed). Weekends are a MUST!
Hourly rate : Based on experience : $17 -$18 an hour.
Job Overview :
As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to function in a fast-paced, busy team environment. Job Responsibilities :
- Follows proper Dress Code and Servsafe / Health Department guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ensure the dishwasher is working properly and cleaning and sanitizing solutions are dispensing correctly.
- Promptly report any technical / performance issues.
- Load and unload dishwashing machines
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand when necessary. Ensure all dishes are cleaned and sanitized properly.
- Sort and organize all cleaned items in designated areas.
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
- Remove garbage regularly and maintain restrooms when requested by management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen / dish area by sanitizing the kitchen area, including the floor and tabletop
- surfaces, washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc..
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by Opening and / or Closing of the kitchen properly and following the checklist for kitchen stations.
- Assists others in opening and / or closing the kitchen as needed.
- Helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, prep, walk-ins, restrooms, dish areas and outside areas through the daily / weekly / monthly cleaning lists.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-duty.
