What are the responsibilities and job description for the Musician/Entertainer position at Howl at the Moon?
Howl at the Moon is the leading nightlife destination for live music. With 10 locations nationwide, Howl's signature request show incorporates high-energy dance hits and party anthems that create a fun, vibrant atmosphere and unforgettable nights out.
As an Entertainer, you will be the heart of the Howl live music experience. You will team up with other talented players to perform songs that get the audience dancing, singing, and celebrating their special occasions to the fullest. You will choose the songs you play based on current pop-rock music trends and requests from the audience. Training will be provided to help you develop your individual musicianship and skills performing as part of the band. You will have opportunities for travel/relocation, paid vacations, and health benefits.
Responsibilities
- Sing and play 4 nights/week in a high-energy rock show
- Confidently perform cover songs from memory
- Create fun, vibrant moments onstage to entertain guests
- Support your fellow musicians in the band
- Commit to regular practice and rehearsals to develop your musicianship
- Be a positive brand ambassador for Howl at the Moon
Minimum qualifications
- Strong voice and self-accompanying piano skills
- Good grasp of pop-rock music repertoire and trends
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced bar environment
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred qualifications
- 21 years of age
- 2 years performing experience in solo and/or ensemble settings
- College or conservatory music training (or equivalent experience)
- Skills playing drums, bass, guitar, and/or other instruments
