• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of experience utilizing machine tools to perform precision metal cutting operations. This may include Technical school education.

This role is responsible for working with close tolerances, setting up and operating a variety of manual and / or CNC metal cutting machines. The position will read and interpret blueprints, engineering sketches, and diagrams and produce items for a variety of applications. Responsibilities and Duties :
• Set up and operate a variety of manual and / or CNC metal cutting machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment.
• Produce items including; tooling for production machines, repair parts, installation tooling parts, and fastener prototypes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to determine specifications of items to be produced.
• Read gages, micrometers, scales, calipers and related precision measuring equipment to determine item conformance to specifications.
• Perform work to dimensional tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machine tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5-S principles.
• Perform all work activities in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
• Provide hand tools required for performance of assigned duties.
• Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Howmet Guide to Business Conduct.
• Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Performs all work activities in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills :
• Good communication skills & knowledge of basic shop math
• Ability to read, write and understand basic instructions in English
