The Company’s primary businesses focus on jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems and titanium structural parts necessary for mission-critical performance and efficiency in aerospace and defense applications.Howmet Structure Systems has an immediate opening for a night shift Material Handler located at our Martinsville facility.SUMMARYResponsible for moving and placing parts and materials ready for processing and storage.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.Fill in as grind operator as needed.Remove, weigh, and inspect pieces.Loads and unloads trucks.Set up parts in designated areas to prepare for processing.Identifies and ensures that the correct parts are placed in the designated orderAssists machine operators with general duties as requested to support the smooth operation of the machinesReports any problems observed to supervisor whether they are related to storage and placing of parts or machine malfunctions, etcProduces daily production reports as directed by supervisorMust have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilitiesEDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent GED.Minimum six months experience.This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
