Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Process/Product Engineering Technician to join our Casting Facility located in Dover, New Jersey. This afternoon shift will be Monday to Thursday 6PM-4:30AM. Training will be on 1st shift Monday to Friday 6AM-2:30PM for several months
This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.

The primary role of the Engineering Technician is to provide technical support to the manufacturing team during midnight shift. In order to do this, the technician will initially spend time training with the technical engineering team on 1st shift. This individual would be responsible for addressing issues communicated via shift reports and compiling information for the engineering team. The individual will also be involved in all critical to success engineering actions and be responsible for carrying information and instruction to the midnight shift.

Job Responsibilities
- Review all shift reports and interact with each department to improve product flow.
- Coordinate with product/process engineering to understand risk of deviations.
- Investigate shop floor issues to improve safety, productivity, reduce scrap, and variations in the process.
- Carry through critical engineering actions to midnight shift.
- Work with process owners and process owner technicians to reduce process variation.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Communicate technical information.
- Make decisions based on risk assessment.
- Compile root cause analysis reports.
- Flexible work hours for initial training. Midnight shift final position.
- Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment.
- Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EH&S training.
