Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Drafter to join our design and engineering team. The Drafter will be responsible for producing precise technical drawings, detailed work instructions and plans based on architectural and engineering specifications. This role plays a critical part in translating design concepts into accurate, buildable documents that align with project requirements and standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in CAD/Revit software, understands construction methods and materials, and possesses a keen eye for detail. Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers, the Drafter ensures that all drawings support efficient, high-quality construction and reflect our commitment to innovation, functionality, and design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in concept studies, design development, and architectural research.
- Utilize Revit for 3D modeling, drafting, and visualization.
- Produce technical drawings & plans based on architectural and engineering specifications
- Engage in 3D printing and physical model making to explore design solutions.
- Participate in hands-on fabrication, working with various materials to create prototypes, test models and presentation models.
- Collaborate with the design and construction teams to refine project details and manufacturing techniques.
- Creates to technical drawings and presentations.
- Maintain relationships of models and drawing files in an organized fashion
- Ensure that drawings adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- BS or Associate degree in Engineering or Architecture
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and BIM.
- Proficiency and Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship.
- Basic knowledge of material properties and structural considerations.
- Ability to learn and work with a small team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.92 - $28.00 per hour
