Our client, a leading national financial services company specializing in mortgage and loan services, is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join their executive leadership team as their Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role, based at the company’s headquarters, reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on CFO with expertise in the financial services industry, who will collaborate closely with senior leadership and the board to drive business growth, enhance financial operations, and contribute to a positive company culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing financial insights to guide key decisions and drive business strategy
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely closes, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with industry regulations
- Actively contribute to the development of business strategies that promote profitability, scalability, and sustainable growth within the mortgage and loan services sector
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, offering clear and actionable insights into the company’s financial health and performance
- Foster a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and transparency across the organization, ensuring alignment of financial objectives with business goals
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), ensuring effective financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting to support long-term growth
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, controls, and processes to optimize operational efficiency and minimize risks
- Mentor and develop talent within the finance team, ensuring that department capabilities align with the company’s long-term goals
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within the financial services industry (banking, insurance, mortgage services, loan services, or related fields)
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to managing a financial team and collaborating with cross-functional departments
- Experience working closely with executive leadership, and board members to align financial strategies with business objectives
- In-depth knowledge of the mortgage and loan services industry, along with an understanding of relevant regulations, risks, and market opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications preferred)
