A growing manufacturing company in the Bronx is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a hybrid role, providing a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of accounting experience and a strong foundation in journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and assist in financial statement preparation.
- Work closely with vendors and customers to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Assist in financial audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
