What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEC Reporting - Financial Services position at Hoxton Circle?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statement workpapers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary information for disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for financial reporting.
- Prepare and review SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) using Workiva.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures per SEC requirements.
- Maintain documentation of SEC filings and related communications.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and their impact on financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly internal management reports and quarterly fluctuation analysis.
- Improve processes and ensure proper internal controls.
- Collaborate with business leaders for various financial reviews and strategic planning.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors during audits and quarterly reviews.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for financial reporting.
- Assist team members as needed and perform other tasks to add value to the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in accounting or finance (Master’s preferred).
- At least 3-4 years in accounting and financial reporting, with experience in Big 4 or publicly traded firms preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, US GAAP, SOX, and internal controls.
Salary : $9,000 - $100,000
