What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Controller, Property Accounting position at Hoxton Circle?
A real estate asset manager is in search of a Senior Controller, Property Accounting to help lead and grow their property accounting team. In addition to overseeing the financial onboarding/offboarding of the firm’s assets, you’ll partner with the SVP of Property Accounting to further build-out and enhance policies, procedures and strategy. You’ll also manage and professionally develop several direct reports.
The company has experienced significant amounts of growth over the past several years and are in the process of scaling further. The Property Accounting team and overall firm cultivate a culture of cooperation, and promote upward mobility/career advancement.
Note this opportunity requires you to work a minimum of 3 days a week in office.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 10-15 years of property accounting experience overseeing a high-volume portfolio
- Proven experience with process creation and enhancements
- Experience managing and developing a team, and strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong use of Yardi (i.e. managing workflows, creating GL accounts, properties, charge codes and more)
