Our client, a dynamic group company overseeing a diverse portfolio of 100 domestic and international companies, is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accounting Manager to join their growing leadership team. As the business continues to expand and restructure its services, multiple leadership roles are now available, offering exciting opportunities for professionals eager to contribute to the organization's growth and success.
The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in accounting operations, technical accounting, and/or corporate accounting. This hands-on position requires a proactive leader who is passionate about driving both operational efficiency and contributing to the company’s evolving culture as they continue to build out the team.
This position is on site 5 days/week in the Northern Dallas region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage corporate accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for a large, multi-entity group with both domestic and international components
- Oversee technical accounting functions, including complex accounting issues, new accounting standards, and policy development
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems across the organization
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a growing team, helping to shape the future structure of the department and fostering a positive, high-performance culture
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to streamline accounting operations and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting accuracy
- Support M&A activities and integrate new acquisitions into the company’s accounting and financial reporting processes
- Drive key accounting and financial analyses to support corporate strategy and decision-making
- Partner with external auditors and other service providers to ensure timely audits and compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- 7 years of experience in corporate accounting, with a strong background in accounting operations and technical accounting
- Experience working within a large, multi-entity corporate structure, ideally with both domestic and international operations
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, consolidation, and complex technical accounting issues (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, mergers & acquisitions)
- A hands-on, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Proven experience driving process improvements and leading teams through organizational growth and change
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or relevant certifications preferred)
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a passion for developing talent and building a positive team culture
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
