Job Description
The AR Specialist is responsible for day-to-day cash application functions and maintaining Accounts Receivable records by performing the following duties. The AR specialist will be responsible for timely and accurate processing of customer account transactional activities.
Responsibilities
Cash Application – post payments and apply against open items according to remits received by customers.
Audit – transactional activities such as payments and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
Adjustments - processing various adjustments to customer accounts and providing clear and complete supporting documentation.
Reconciliations - high level of collaboration needed in working with internal and external customers to reconcile accounts.
Collaboration with the Finance Account Specialist team to ensure accounts are maintained properly.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly metrics set by management must be adhered to.
Excel - High proficiency to include V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
Assist with special accounting projects, as necessary.
Assist with various month end close processes.
Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required. 2-5 years related education, training and/or experience; performing similar duties that may have included bookkeeping, A/R, A/P or light accounting experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
