ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Duties
- Open mail and sort frames by account.
- Receive and tray up work from outsourced vendors and scan to appropriate station.
- Print, key, and check billing on VBA insurance jobs.
- Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen and enters necessary codes.
- Reviews assigned queues in Combobulator and makes corrections based on specific queue guidelines.
- Make changes on the Eyefinity website if VSP orders need to be modified.
- Must learn additional information when it applies: billing policies, lens availability, frame manufacturers, etc.
- Work in stockroom printing, folding, and putting work tickets in trays.
- Pull frames and scan in DVI to remove from inventory and check for accuracy.
- Receive frames in DVI and assign bin locations.
- Add drill information to orders as needed.
- Review frames for base curves.
- Work with the production teams to give our customers the best service and quality possible.
- Maintain shared email.
- Cross train in other areas when tasks are completed.
- Fill customer supply requests from customer service.
- Keep track of frames not in process using process supplied.
- Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager
- Assist in yearly lens and frame inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some optical laboratory experience preferred.
- Able and willing to work as a team.
- Attention to Detail
- Must be able to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed and be flexible with work schedule.
- Able to read and write English Language well and good with basic math skills.
- Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately.
- Have experience working on a computer.
- Critical thinking skills.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to use hands to type and write. The employee occasionally is required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must use proper ergonomics when lifting, sitting, and standing for long periods of time at workstation especially when using a computer.
- Wear closed toe and closed heal shoes at all times.
