Come join our team of machine operators dedicated to excellence in providing people with prescription eyeglass lenses. HOYA is a very clean and safe facility manufacturing prescription optical lenses for eye doctors and other wholesale or retail optical centers. We have several career opportunities on all shifts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris
- Inspection, sorting, washing, and prepping lenses for Hard Coating.
- Use MR-III machine for backside coating lenses with primer coating.
- Set up lenses into racks, feed racks into Hard Coat Dipping Machine.
- Visual inspection of the lenses after Hard Coating.
- Use Oven to cure coating
- Use stripping machine to strip lens coatings or coating from racks
- Reject bad coating on lenses
- Help routing work in the AR-Preparation room
- Maintains workstation clean and organized
- Able to work on computer controlled equipment
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Basic math
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed (may include weekends or holidays)
- Good hand to eye coordination
- Able to read and write English language
- Experience or knowledge working with automated equipment is a plus, but not required
- Problem solving skills helpful
- Ability to work without constant supervision
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time
