What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surface Technician, 3rd shift (12:00am -8:30am) position at Hoya Vision Care?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Duties
1. Inspect blocks to ensure they are clean and in good condition before use
2. Apply blocks to lenses using blocking machine and alloy material
3. Troubleshoot for possible mistakes from “layout” area.
4. Keep alloy supply full
5. Ensure that the trays have the correct products in them
6. Calibrate and maintain Generator as mandated in service logs
7. Place trays on conveyor belt making sure proper lenses are in trays
8. Polish lenses
9. Safety lenses using hand-stone
10. Check for correct tools (laps),pads times
11. Check pressure time and temperature
12. Maintain machines daily
13. Follow SOP for Crest ultrasonic to wash lenses
14. Follow SOP to operate MR3 coaters
15. Use card printer, mark up progressive marking, and inspect Class Plus
16. Maintain polish filter
17. All other duties as assigned
