This is an opportunity to lead a Mobile Crisis Response Team in St. Clair County. This team will respond to youth and adult mental health crises. Ensure crisis assessments are completed for all ages using evidence-based tools to determine whether a situation can be stabilized within the community or requires hospitalization for stabilization.

The Crisis Care Supervisor is responsible for oversight for the Crisis Care Program, including the selection, training and supervision of Crisis Care Program PRN staff. The Crisis Care Supervisor will be responsible for the success of the program and ensuring all state requirements are met. This position will be scheduled Tuesday- Saturday from 2pm-10pm.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In coordination with Manager of Crisis Care, interviews, selects, trains and supervises program staff. Monitors employee performance and completes monthly and annual evaluations. Works to resolve any performance issues or concerns.
  • Implement best practices and Evidence Based Practices for suicide prevention and crisis services
  • Provide education opportunities and training for suicide prevention and EBPs
  • Work across departments to collaborate on suicide prevention practices and crisis needs
  • Plan, organize, and direct the activities of mobile crisis response teams.
  • Assist with after-hours crisis collaboration; including after-hours consultation
  • Assist with Mobile Crisis Team Response when needed
  • Assures that the program metrics and requirements are fulfilled and is up to date on DMH reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for all program reviews and the success of the programs key performance indicators.
  • Continuously monitors the clinical needs of current clients and develops innovative approaches to meeting those needs.
  • Monitors direct service requirements of assigned program staff to ensure targets are being met.
  • Adheres to and follows all other required duties necessary and assigned by direct supervisor.

SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skills in making public presentations, and in conducting formal training internally and externally.
  • Understanding of suicide prevention theories and practices preferable
  • Interpersonal skills to work with staff of all departments, leadership and community organizations
  • Suicide prevention EBPs trained preferable
  • Requirements :

    EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

  • Required : A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program, or in a related human service field.
  • Preferred : Eligible for license of Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
  • Experience in Crisis Intervention required, preferably Mobile Crisis Response.
  • One year supervisor experience
  • Possess the experience, personal qualities and practice skills to work effectively with professionals from a variety of disciplines both internally and with other organizations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Possess and maintain automobile insurance.
