Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk will support the financial health of HP Carriers by assisting the accounting department in the areas of Billing, data entry of Accounts Payable, and General Ledger
Responsibilities
Organize documents such as BOL/POD for the purpose of processing Northbound Billing to customers and making changes as necessary
Upload invoices to customers’ website as needed and experience in Factoring invoices.
Provide Customers with detail list of all services that are subject to Billing on a timely basis
Maintain and keep files organized in a detailed manner for current and previously invoiced shipments and be able to locate files as needed by customers.
Assist with Southbound Billing customers as needed
Provide customer service and demonstrate awareness of customer statements and other important documentation to customers.
Coordination with Customer Service Department ensuring timely delivery of loads and rate changes
Effective communication with Dispatch Department to generate accurate Billing to customers
Accounts Payable review invoices and statements, data entry of vouchers and journal entries
Check information for accuracy for posting and reporting purposes
Other duties as assigned by Comptroller
Requirements
-Must be a quick learner, make rational decisions, and team player
- Computer skills familiar McLeod System, Excel spreadsheets, and Word, be organized, and work efficiently, ten key by touch
-Have knowledge of basic accounting principles
-Customer Service experience
-Cross train with Accounting Staff
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
