Global Services and Solutions (GSS) is the GTM organization focused on positioning and delivering the recurring value of the Workforce Solutions portfolio for customers, markets and partners. This role is responsible for driving HP GSS strategic direction, ensuring that it remains innovative, competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape. This involves long-term strategic planning, business growth investments planning and the subsequent framing of fiscal year business plans, objectives and metrics. Strategic choices should be framed and evaluated using in-depth analyses and scenario / coverage modeling to inform recommendations, develop strategic initiatives and business plans and assess execution and impact.
The GSS Strategy Manager will also be responsible for tight interlock and alignment of strategic plans, initiatives and investment funding across GSS, the Market and global functions in CO and with the WS GBU. This individual will orchestrate key initiatives for successful framing, alignment and implementation with the business owners. And he / she will work with large, cross-functional teams to facilitate projects and collaborate across businesses to align operational strategy with organizational goals.
This role is open to candidates based in any location within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Assess business strategy opportunities and identify recommendations to optimize business and financial performance.
- Apply structured problem solving and strategic frameworks to deliver data-driven, synthesized insights to support actionable strategy and recommendations.
- Drive multiple key strategic initiatives across functions and business segments that have enterprise-wide implications
- Be a thought leader and influencer with the executive leadership team, functional leaders, and business unit leaders on strategy formulation and consensus building.
- Work collaboratively and effectively across a global matrix organization to build alignment of business strategies and ensure successful and integrated execution.
- Demonstrate superior strategic and analytical skills with ability to draw key insights and develop clear recommendations.
- Use intellectual agility and superior written and verbal communication to develop presentations, facilitate discussions, and simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts.
- Actively contribute to building skills and talent, and creating a fun culture, as we build a world class strategy team.
- Lead and influence in a team setting, including extended teams.
